Playhouse project complete... ish, in time for little ones 5th Birthday 🥳 Achieving a job that would usually take a couple of weeks in 4 days 🤪 Added some temporary safety panels, more details to go, paint job pending and have since added a little fairy door 🧚♀️ It was a close one, but we did it! Huge thank you to the community groups providing sourced wood and materials. The majority of the build was using community resourced and used materials, so very happy with the result! Only bought new items were climbing grips, wheel and telescope. I look forward to sharing the result with finishing touches and paintwork soon. When you have less than a week to build a children's playhouse on stilts... aka an almost treehouse with slide and lookout for my girlfriend's little one (5th birthday surprise)... only a tiny budget for materials, so I'm relying mainly on community sourced recycled materials! The Bert behind the build
Robert Nicholson, aka Build it Bert, has been working as a multi-talented craftsman for more than 15 years and bagged his first big renovations contract after the boss heard him laying down the law to a builder trying to cut corners.
Bert may be one man, but he's THAT guy that can do the thing that seems impossible and, though hard to nail down, once you got him, you're sorted, mate.

I started working for landlords and property investors, completing entire refits for raised property value or rental potential. This means I'm used to doing the lot. I can be very handy to have as your right-hand man for any upcoming property projects.

Recommendation
Fast work, doesn't equal value for sale or for rental. I work with you to come up with quailty long lasting solutions for tenants or raising property value. I can help you design or receive plans as preferred, but I will let you know if something isn't a good idea and why!

Materials
Once assessed I will let you know what materials are needed and recommend the best quality and most affordable options or I can organise those for you. I don't like short cuts. It doesn't help anyone in the long run. High quality, durability and affordability based on your budget.

Get it done
I've always done the entire renovation myself, but I can hire in if it's a big job with a lesser timeline . I do the plumbing and electrics but get someone qualified to come in and assess, sign off. I can charge by time or we can agree a project cost as preferred.

Continued maintenance
I'm then available for any continued maintenance and support for that property or any future properties on your portfolio. I can do small jobs or custom carpentry and storage as required along the way. I can also fix and solve mould issues or roofing and flooring.
